This project marks my return to making music and expressing myself. It was unfortunate that it took the passing of my Dad and Granddad in 2014 to get me to rediscover my passion for being creative with my words, and being able to express myself.
The first track that I wrote for this project was Pissed. It really summed up how I felt towards the end of 2015, I was pissed off with a lot of things in life, pissed off that life in finite and pissed off that I couldn't fix it. I had my first gig back and I did this track, it was emotional for me, I wasn't sure how it would be received. Turns out the crowd related to it and started singing the hook, especially one girl, who I gave the mic to for the final hook and she smashed it. A little while later she recorded the hook for me and really make this track even better and more personal to me. Thanks Emily.
Towards the end of writing the project, I had started to enjoy rapping again and that lead to tracks such as Killin' it and Puffin' - its good to just enjoy rapping and making poetry with no weights to carry and no message to push off my back. It is also great to have Lord Bendtner back making music with me, featuring on both of those tracks, he was also the guitarist in our band, Misfits in Audio.
Massive shout to the Pryme Cut family who have taken me in as one of their own, providing support and guidance over this last year. I probably wouldn't have got this out of first gear without you lot. The joy we all get from the music comes out in the last track, M4 Corridor Chyper - and it bangs!
Special mention to CrazetheJack for mixing and mastering this project and making sound how it did in my head. Although he still isn't a mind reader, he managed to figure out that when I say add some reverb, I probably mean echo effect. Thanks for the help bro!
I hope you have the time to listen and get to know me a bit better, and maybe connect personally to it as well.
Thanks for checking it out!
Much Love
